Let me tell you about this man his name is Archie B. Free, he done me wrong and now has to answer to me; he took me on a high like never before; then he pushed me in the cold and locked the door. I’ve been banging on the door for him to let me back in, but he just doesn’t answer, he doesn’t want to be my friend. I got murder in my heart, and hate in my eyes, when I hurt this mother fucka’, it won’t be know butts, ands or whys. I’ll sneak up behind him, and slit his neck, there will be know…See More

FED UP!

For some they will never see how wounded I am inside, the hurt that I feel everyday, that I try and constantly hide. You would never know what I’m going through, it would be just a “crime” the stress that I encounter every day, is most definitely Suicide. I constantly cry, but I hold it inside, because nobody fuckin’ cares if I was to just drop dead and die. To some it would be a tradgedy for other it would be, “Where is her Life Insurance Policy”. Life is so unkind, the trials and tribulations…See More

WAS IT WORTH IT - CHAPTER 5

CHAPTER 5

While waiting for Angie, her thoughts drifted off to the accidental kiss that she gave Kalief; but that thought was quickly interrupted by the drama Queen herself Angela.

“Sorry for the wait girl, my Landlord be buggin’ this dude don’t want to fix shit talkin’ bout “it worked before you broke it”, damn Mexican!”

“It felt like I was out here forever”.

“What else do you got to do Cyn? What my dude say to you?”

“Who that guy? Oh I wasn’t…

CHAPTER 4- WAS IT WORTH IT?

The funeral of Judge Dante was a very sad one, the Judge was a man you love too much to hate. Mrs. Dante asked a select few to say a few words about the Judge and Cynthia was one of them. Cynthia was hoping that she didn’t break down while she was speaking well of the Judge. Derrick was there with her for support and out of respect for the Judge.

Cynthia barley made it to the microphone, but she decided to just breathe and let her feelings for the Judge speak for her.

“I can…

“Good morning sunshine”.

“Good morning Derrick, are you hungry?”

“Oh man am I”. Cynthia went at it again with the cooking thing; Derrick couldn’t believe this angel that was placed in his life. Cynthia was beautiful, a good cook, a damn good lover, an all around good woman.

“What are you making for breakfast?”

“Biscuits with syrup, Canadian ham, Cheese Eggs and Grits”.

“Wooooooweee!!!”

“Derrick listen I had a great time, but I don’t think I can do…

Thanks for responding and sorry about my etiquette. My name is Kareem, this is my first book however I have several movie scripts in the wings, this book started as a script and i convereted it to try and fund a feature project. I know what you mean about it up here. Im from the city and came up here to get my priorities together and focus. I do a lot of video work as well and hope to eventually start producing my own movies. I have been able to focus and start some things but just like you I know that its time to leave and I'm transitioning now. I'll try and make your signing if nothing more to show support for a fellow writer. Also if you're interested in some video promo I'd be more than happy to put something together for you, gratis.

Ms. Hall I'm glad that we can see things eye to eye. It was never intended as a slight to you or any other author because we have no control over how we are categorized, and that's what we have an issue with. It is not for us to place a label on anyone or to act like we're the keepers of street and we decide who has the proper credentials. From the little I know of you you surely qualify. Do you Sista, remember you keepin it real! Real fiction that is!! LOL. Stay blessed!! Bobby D.

Ms. Hall I'm Bobby Dennis, C.O.O and author of Hoodwrittens publishing. I read your comment on the statement made by my partner, C.E.o of hoodwrittens publishing and I want to be the first one to say that you are right when you say that everybody has a story to tell be it fact or fiction. The point Sha was trying to make is; Don't pretend to be street if you're not. All of the ideas for super hero's and sy-fy started in the mind of ordinary men who may well have never experienced the things that they write about, But I seriously doubt if many of them are donning capes or getting in rocket ships trying to live like the characters in their books. It's hard to keep it real in a world of fantasy. Do you Ma and if you ever need somebody to co-sign your street cred you got us!!! Be blessed!!! ONE!
