Making That Change

Culture and art

Displayed on our choice of attire

Wings of celestial beings, skull and bones

Graphics we detest, pictorials we admire

Urban culture is full of art

From symbolic emblems of Masons, Moorish and Christians apart

Our life experiences is displayed through the community

Culture and art goes hand in hand

From the sound of a brother playing plastic acoustics

To the new mural placed on the overpass brings culture to our urban land

Orchestrate Vibrations, By Lawrence Mooney aka Ramon Rococo

Repudiation leads to solitude.

Inclusion brings harmony.

Orchestrate a sound made from various instruments, a harp, a violin, a bass, a snare and xylophones. Yes many keys. The trumbone and cymbals indeed.

Each alone creates a distinct sound ,a very unique sound in solitude.

The sound may be as high as a tenor, salient but unique or melodramatic, but orchestrate sound it is not.

With the correct overtones, strums and sequencing of the individual instruments, together… Continue

All Alone IN A Room So Crowded By Ramon "R. Vespucci " Mooney

All alone in a room so crowded.

I try to grasp hold to what i can touch.

I reach out but nothings there.

Yet there are many figures with voices in the air.

Do they see me? Do they hear me?

I speak so loud that they tremble at the thought of what they hear!

Still, they dont hear me because the same self destructive patterns always reappear.

Im almost sure i ring the alarm at least seven times a day,but its not loud enough to stop us from falling as prey.

So… Continue

AMERICAN COMMUNISM by RamonRococo

Laid back on my leather chaise lounge, i stand up ,i sit down restlessly holding back this burning desire;it causes strife. I wanna teach, i wanna preach and spread the word about having patience, long suffering and endurance is what we need to succeed in life. Mom's my "all american hero"again,"Dads out using herion again".She walks in with MickyDees, i cant wait to taste, she puts a… Continue

“This highly anticipated book is a page-turner! I couldn't put it down--it's the first joint effort from former drug Kingpin "Freeway" Ricky Ross and experienced urban lit writer Jimmy DaSaint. Black Scarface is a winner all the way around!"
-Wendy Day from Rap Coalition

..Freeway Rick Ross and Jimmy DaSaint together on a novel-it doesn't get anymore hood than that. These dudes are gangsta to the core. Cop Black Scarface-its like that"
--Seth 'Soulman" Ferranti author of Street Legends and prison Stories

This is prime, vintage storytelling. Blackscarface is a notorious exhilarating, explosive gangster saga guaranteed to keep readers riveted from beginning to the end---a definite streetbanger
